Description: Pitcher - Vintage German Wick-Werke salt-glazed Stoneware Stein, Pitcher with four mugs.
Gray color pitcher has picture of two young boys carrying a batch of
grapes. Across the pitcher are German words "Trinkt Wie Eure Vater Aus
Stein Den Wein" translates: "drink the wine like your father out of
stone (stein). Pitcher is decorated with cobalt blue grapes, lettering, and with a small blue ring around the base.
Pitcher Markings: On front of pitcher is what appears to be the signature Rudeshem/RF. The letters at the end of name are somewhat faded. There is a faded what appears to be the number "11" underlined near the mouth of the opening of pitcher. Bottom of pitcher has the double W design.
Stoneware cups, mugs with a cobalt blue design on a gray background. Has bunches of grapes going around the cup with a blue ring at top and bottom of design. The 4th mug is very unusual. This cup has the same grapes and leaves pattern as the other cups however, the grapes and leaves are colorful in shades of yellow, orange, green and purple. The background color is cobalt blue with blue rings around the top and bottom of the design plus one ring around the base of the cup. The rest of the cup and inside is a gray color.
Size: Pitcher - 7 1/2" tall and is approximate 0.5 liters.
Mugs - 3 1/4" tall with 2 1/2" diameter each
